I am a small-batch studio potter based in beautiful Western New York. I work exclusively with porcelain, creating elegant tableware on the potter's wheel or with handmade slab molds. I enjoy experimenting with form, delicate lines, gesture, and pattern, using divisions of space for emphasis. Imagery is primarily nature-inspired and can range from abstract, to floral, to the human form. My surfaces are illustrated with original designs using sgraffito, relief carving, screen-printing, or mishima. All of my glazes and underglazes are mixed from scratch, and applied with a brush or dipped, often using wax resist to achieve textural variations.
